Oct 31, 2022 | Museum Monday Treasures

Today’s Museum Monday treasure from the Museum of American Glass in WV is a HouzeX Glass Products No. B-10 octagon ashtray in ebony, with a wonderful brass art deco impala figurine. Houze Glass operated in Point Marion under a variety of different names over the years and made many of the black and marbleized ashtrays from the 1920s and 1930s. This particular one was new in 1929. It is 5 inches high and 5 inches wide – and the epitome of art deco design!
