Apr 15, 2024 | Museum Monday Treasures

Today’s Museum Monday treasure from the Museum of American Glass in WV is a delightful pitcher made by Dalzell, Gilmore and Leighton Glass Company in the late 1890s. It is known to collectors as Bicycle Girl. After Dalzell became part of the National Glass Company in 1899, the mould was transferred to the Indiana Tumbler and Goblet Works, where it was listed as the No. 415 Bicycle Jug. IT&G also made it in chocolate glass sometime between 1899 and 1903. The pitcher is 10 ½ inches high.
