This year’s Glass Gathering is coming together to be one of our best ever! We will be in the Rochester/Monaca, Pennsylvania, area, where our hosts, The H.C. Fry Glass Society, have lots of fun and educational opportunities already firmed up, with more to come – it’s not too early to register today!
All events will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Beaver Valley, where a block of rooms for the Gathering have been reserved at $135 per night. Call 724-728-2070 and mention WVMAG and use code GGG when booking your stay to receive the group rate. You can also book directly online HERE.
Thursday evening, October 19, we have arranged for a special reception for out of town arrivals, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, hosted by Dr. Clif Dietz, with a tour of his glass collection with wine and cheese to welcome you to the area.
Friday, October 20, we will leave from the hotel to spend the morning at the Duncan & Miller Glass Museum in Washington, PA. Lunch will be on your own with a chance to shop at several antique malls on the way to our next destination, which will be the Rochester Area Heritage Society where we will have a chance to view a large Fry display with many one of a kind pieces.
On Friday and Saturday there will also be a special display room at the hotel open for viewing. All of the local glass clubs are participating, so you can expect a varied and spectacular array of glass to be included.
Saturday, October 21, from 9 A.M. until 3:45 P.M. will be our speakers (to be announced). Lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday. After dinner, the Not so silent auction will be held from 6:30 until … ?
